Who Forgets to Eat!?!
So.... I guess I took a writing hiatus after that last post which stated "I am in fact, NOT a good blogger"! Lately life has been consumed with normal everyday tasks, cooking, cleaning, coffee, netflix.. you know, the priorities of life! ha
My creative juices haven't been flowing like I wish they would!
With that said, I'm back to the grind. I have multiple unfinished scripts and outlines for projects, way to many "to do" lists and not enough hours in the day. Not to mention I begin filming a new project next week! Ay yi yi!
Its crazy how the ebb and flow of life can take over. One thing I learned very quick in this industry is how inconsistent it is. Some weeks I have the most mellow schedule.. I sleep in.. watch movies..go to yoga.. help my sister with carpool and other weeks Im so busy I forget to EAT!! (I know.. its annoying, who forgets to eat? NOT ME!)
Like most creatives, I have ALOT of interest and ideas. My family tends to make fun of me for it. One minute I'm planning a trip to Europe, the next I'm writing a full length feature film, then I'm teaching yoga and barre, oh and wait a minute.. I need to write a new song. I have to stop myself and say 'SLOWDOWN crazy!" I tend to think that the second I spark a new idea, I have to accomplish it ASAP. I know its not a bad thing to have a busy mind and want to be proactive.. but its definitely overwhelming at times. Hence, my absence from the journaling world. It doesn't have to be all or nothing, something I constantly have to remind myself of. Balance is key. Everyday we wake up with a CHOICE, (well we have a lot of choices..) but we have a choice to be productive, be positive and ultimately to be happy. Life gets crazy, it gets busy and overwhelming, sometimes things seem impossible. Im making a choice to believe in my talents, believe in my dream and to work towards it everyday. What choices are you making?
Wish me luck as I take on the next few weeks and attempt to document it here!
